Aug. 2009 Artist in residence: The Good Hatchery, Daingean, Co. Offaly
I recently spent a long weekend at the Good Hatchery artist studios. I was invited down as part of the project 'from Daingean with love'. The idea was to spend time in the area surrounding the Hatchery and respond with a postcard design which will be sold in the local post office. Daingean is not a tourist town and has very little pride of place. the project served a twofold purpose...introducing artists to The Good Hatchery and creating an opportunity for an engagement with the community, the local environment and history.
May - Sept 2009 Artist in residence: Common Place Projects CPAP, Burgh Quay, Dublin
Over the summer I've been working from the Common Place studios overlooking the Quays in Dublin. I was given the residency in May 2009 and have just moved out of the studio with a lot of new work in progress. I'll be returning to Common Place to work on a commission in mid 2010.. The slideshow shows some documentation of work in the studio over the past few months. I'll be continuing with work started in the studio the coming year.
